How do industrial robots choose connectors?

Time:2019-07-27 Views:475
In developing new application areas, such as on assembly lines, robot manufacturers face two major challenges:
1.
Robots need more and more sensory sensors, and they must be smaller and more flexible for more complex assembly operations. Westsam Technology industrial connectors can support the development of such robotic systems by miniaturization and ensuring shielded data transmission. In addition to electrical signals, modular connectors transmit compressed air, light waves and high currents. As a "hybrid" interface, they accomplish the task of several small separate interfaces.
2.
Miniaturization to the last millimeter. Valve terminals are an integral part of pneumatic automation systems. Today‘s devices typically use fieldbus for communication, allowing integration of various electrical functions. In addition to considering flow rates, one of the key product features is the need for a compact design. Despite the increasing miniaturization, the connector is characterized by a high degree of robustness. In addition to the reinforced wall thickness of the insert, the additional side-mounted SMT mounting ("compacting") always ensures a secure connection to the PCB, making the connector ideal for industrial electronics.
Wide range of applications in connection technology, operational applications, sensors or imaging components, especially for industrial robots in highly automated automotive welding and assembly lines. Although all defined standards for data areas require separate signal and data communication procedures. In addition to power and standard communication, the transmission of analog, digital, bus and low voltage signals must be guaranteed.
The HARTING PushPull delivers 5A of rated current on 10 contacts with a conductor cross-section of up to 0.75mm2. In order to ensure electromagnetic interference resistance, the contact plug is completely shielded as an RJ45 data connector, and a shielded cable can be connected. PushPull‘s locking feature ensures a reliable connection to the connector. When inserted, a "beep" sounds to indicate a correct lock.

The PushPull signal connector can also handle mixed applications. For example, a portion of the contact surface can be used to transmit power while other contacts can be used for communication. The PushPull signal connector is used in the PushPull Variant 14 and Variant 4 series defined in IEC 61076-6-107. The PushPull signal connector is defined in accordance with IEC 61076-6-107 and has two types of PushPull Variant 14 and Variant 4.
Simple wire connections on site are key. The PushPull signal connector is pre-assembled at the time of delivery, minimizing the number of parts that the user has separated. The connector is mounted by inserting each crimp pin into a pre-assembled insulating insert. Simply press the insulation insert to lock it to the final position and secure the crimp pin in place. Users can easily correct any errors that occur after installing the insulation insert. The use of factory-prefabricated cable assemblies of different lengths reduces on-site processing effort.
